External advisor on Antimicrobial Stewardship & Education Policy to a number of professional societies, governments and non-UK governmental bodies including the World Health Organization [WHO]; WHO and EBRD advisor on AMS-education & training and Implementation.

Programme director of he first Massive open online course [MOOC] on ANtimicrobial stewardship [5 language translations->100,000 participants to date], Editor of the first global freely accessible e-book on antimicrobial stewardship& Editor in Chief of a unique open access education and research platform -JAC AMR launched in 2019; In 2015 he was awarded the order of the British Empire [OBE] by her Majesty the queen for outstanding services to the treatment of Infectious Diseases and has received the Dutch 2019 SWAB award
of International leading contribution to MAS.

Dilip has authored more than 265 peer reviewed publications and has a range of local, national and international contributions to research & innovation in the domains of e-learning education, OPAT, value based healthcare, evaluation of value of new antibiotics, quality improvement and implementation science, guidelines and policy, particularly in the field of antimicrobial stewardship and AMR. his work is increasingly focused in supporting AMS in LMICs
