Dr. Nawal Al Kaabi graduated with an MBBS from United Arab Emirates University in Al Ain, UAE . She became certified as a Fellow in Pediatrics through the Royal College of Physicians in Canada in 2002 and again in Pediatric Infectious Disease in 2004. Additionally, she completed an Infection Control Fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, University of Ottawa in Canada.

She is also an American Board Certified (2001). Prior to her post at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City she was a Consultant at Zayed Military Hospital, Abu Dhabi, UAE. She has been a Division Head of Pediatric Infectious Disease at SKMC since 2007 and Paediatric Residency Program Director since April 2010. Currently, she is a Deputy DIO, Education Institute at Shaikh Khalifa Medical City, UAE from February 2012 up to present and Chair of Infections Control and Prevention: SEHA Health Care Facilities since 2012.

Dr. Al Kaabi’s main interests are Vaccination, Multidrug Resistance Organisms, Infection Control and Medical Education.
